Position: Nursery Room Leader
Location: Rochdale
Contract Type: Full Time
Rate of Pay: £140 - £160.00 per day
Working Hours: 08:30 - 15:30
About the Nursery
Are you an experienced and motivated early years practitioner with a passion for supporting children's development? We are working with a friendly, inclusive nursery in Rochdale seeking a dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role within the room, guiding staff, supporting children aged 0-5, and ensuring the highest standards of care and learning.
Responsibilities
* Lead the daily running of your designated room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and child-centred environment.
* Support children's learning and development through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
* Oversee key workers, assist with planning, and maintain accurate observations and assessments.
* Promote positive behaviour and help children build confidence, independence, and social skills.
* Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider nursery team to deliver high-quality early years provision.
Requirements
* Previous experience working in an Early Years setting is essential.
* Experience in a senior or room-leading role is highly desirable.
* A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
* Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
* A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young children.
Eligibility
* Hold Right to Work in the UK.
* Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one.
* Provide two professional, child-related references covering the last two years.
