Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Duties
* Washing, sanitising, and storing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
* Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
* Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards
* Supporting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with company policies
* Restocking supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
* Assisting with general cleaning duties within the kitchen area to maintain a hygienic environment
* Supporting the team during busy periods by helping with serving or other hospitality duties as required
Skills
* Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is advantageous but not essential
* Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety standards is desirable
* Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or other hospitality settings is a plus
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills
* Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or public holidays as required by the establishment
