Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge? We are looking for a Works Manager to join our dynamic team at the KierBAM Joint Venture project located at the Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth, Devon. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a redevelopment project at a prestigious Royal Navy site!
Location & Hours
Location: Site Based, Plymouth, Devon
Hours: 45 Hours, Permanent, Full Time
As this site is a high-security military naval base, candidates will need to undergo additional security checks. A BPSS level of security clearance is required, which can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and who have been UK residents for the last 5 years will be considered for this role.
Your Responsibilities
As a Works Manager, you will play a crucial role in our Nuclear team, ensuring the successful delivery of the redevelopment project. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Planning, coordinating, and executing site works safely, on time, and within budget.
* Ensuring construction operations and materials meet project specifications.
* Controlling short and medium-term programmes for timely and economical completion.
* Implementing effective corrective actions for identified issues.
* Supporting the General Foreman in adhering to assessed construction risks and control measures.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* An HNC (Construction related) or Level 6 NVQ in Construction Site Management.
* Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience in site construction activities and management of staff, operatives, and subcontractors in regulated sectors.
* A Gold Supervisors or Black Managers Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
* Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
