Investigo is partnered with a high-growth, PE-backed Financial Services business undergoing a significant period of transformation. The Group is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join on a fixed-term contract until April 2026. This role will be central to ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and providing support through ongoing change and growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Control – Maintain general ledger postings and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. Develop and enhance accounting procedures and controls (e.g. segregation of duties, balance sheet reconciliations). Assist in the preparation of statutory/audited accounts and regulatory returns.
* Treasury Management – Manage cash flow, banking activities, and identify/mitigate FX risk.
* Finance Systems & Change – Support infrastructure improvements to meet books and records obligations. Implement systems and processes to enable compliance with a controls-based audit environment.
* Audit – Assist with internal and external audit processes to ensure timely and accurate completion.
* M&A Support – Contribute to due diligence and other M&A-related activities when required.
* Compliance – Ensure adherence to the firm's regulatory, risk management, and operational frameworks.
Skills & Experience
* Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
* Strong technical expertise across financial reporting, accounting, tax, treasury, and FX
* Confident working with senior stakeholders, including Boards, executives, auditors, regulators, and investors
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
* Proven experience managing change and implementing new systems or processes
* Project and change management experience
* Strong IT and finance systems knowledge
