Job Description We currently have a great new opportunity for a Damage & Loss Administrator to join our friendly but driven team at our Stansted Depot. Our Vehicle Hire Division hire a range of light commercial vehicles to companies ranging from blue chip corporations and public sector organisations to medium sized enterprises. The Damage & Loss Administrator will ensure that all mechanical and body work damages are successfully and accurately captured, documented and recharged onto the customer in a professional and timely manner. Please note this role is offered on a fixed term contract covering Maternity leave YOUR ROLE AT SIXT To assist in controlling the damage process for all the depot fleet, including controlling costs for expenditure on a varied range of equipment and contracts within an agreed spend limit Identify damage recharge opportunities from off hires, defects reported by customers and repairs carried out during routine maintenance Ensure validity of claim and transparency of profit margins Gather all evidence and prepare damage packs, photographs and estimates for customers and ensure that effective communication is carried out both internally and externally Assisting in managing the Loss of Use process so clear instruction is provided to customer and hire departments with regards to charges and timeframes Obtain order numbers from customers and negotiate, within the given parameters, where necessary to ensure that maximum recharge value is achieved with customer Invoice customers once recharge value is achieved with customer Resolve or escalate all queries within a given time frame Liaise with internal departments and or external vendors to return the vehicle to hire/rental fleet within agreed timescales YOUR SKILLS MATTER Adaptability You excel in a dynamic environment and can work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team Attention to Detail You have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accurate completion of all handover paperwork and vehicle inspections Communication You have strong communication skills, enabling clear and friendly interactions with customers, even in busy settings Flexibility You are open to work on a shift rotation to cover branch operating hours, ensuring continuous service Driving License You hold a valid driving license and bring a minimum of 12 months driving experience Problem-solving mindset – proactive in resolving issues related to vehicle condition, customer disputes, and insurance coordination IT proficiency – comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Background Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or automotive environment
