The role is to act as the technical interface with the Design Authority for weapons system equipment, ensuring alignment with system performance and project commitments. It involves coordinating work packages with internal and external suppliers to develop products on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Responsibilities include developing requirements with stakeholders, supporting design lab activities, and overseeing the delivery and acceptance of Weapon System products. This includes delivery of the Command and Control Processing Unit, associated consoles, and racks, focusing on hardware delivery, physical certification, and an understanding of the sub-systems operation, including software components.
Main responsibilities:
Manage the Technical Requirement Specification of the equipment
Capture transversal engineering stakeholder needs
Understand the ability to trade requirements for cost and schedule
Develop and understand interface specifications
Manage technical interface with the Equipment Design Authority, including acceptance of the equipment delivery
Support equipment integration at the system level
Manage the Statement of work of the equipment.
Lead the technical progress meetings and milestone reviews with the supplier
Have an understanding of Unit Production Cost for the equipment.
Understand sub-contractor management both internal and external
Understand and contribute to the key activities in the engineering development lifecycle such as design reviews
Manage schedule, cost, quality and performance metrics for assigned work packages
What we're looking for from you:
Manage the delivery of complex electrical equipment and subsystems, including processing units, racks, and associated infrastructure.
Ensure designs meet project requirements and comply with technical standards.
Oversee acceptance of hardware and support its functional integration within the wider subsystem.
Deliver all required technical and certification documentation.
Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and influence project direction.
Coordinate with third-party suppliers, defining statements of work and managing deliverables.
Lead technical work packages to track progress, mitigate risks, and ensure successful project outcomes.
