Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant – Morecambe

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Morecambe to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis, starting immediately. The school is looking for someone who is positive, reliable, and passionate about supporting children during this important stage of their education.
About the Role
This role involves supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 to help create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences and help pupils progress confidently through the KS1 curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils in whole-class, small-group, and one-to-one settings
* Assisting with the delivery of phonics, early reading, and early maths activities
* Supporting lesson planning, preparation, and assessment
* Encouraging pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
* Providing extra support to pupils who may need additional help
* Helping maintain a calm, organised, and positive classroom environment
* Supporting behaviour management using the school’s positive strategies
* Building strong and supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Who We’re Looking For
* Experience working with children — KS1 experience preferred, but not essential
* A positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach
* Confidence supporting early reading, phonics, and basic numeracy
* A passion for helping young learners thrive
* Someone who can be a positive role model and work well as part of a friendly team
This role is very welcoming to beginners, including those who may be newly qualified, early in their education career, or looking to gain school-based experience. Full support will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
