Role Overview
This post is under AfC Annex 21 for one year at 75% of the top Band 4 salary payscale.
NHS Lanarkshire is offering several Trainee Assistant Practitioner positions across our 3 Acute Sites, with tailored educational programs in collaboration with New College Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire College.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of the healthcare team, guided by registered Nursing Practitioners.
* Assist patients in meeting healthcare and rehabilitation objectives.
* Support evidence-based care, aiding in planning, execution, and assessment of patient care.
* Conduct initial assessments within set parameters.
* Apply technical and practical skills to provide safe, patient-focused care.
Qualifications
* Minimum SCQF Level 7 in health or social care (e.g., SVQ3, HNC).
* Knowledge of clinical processes and techniques.
* Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Basic IT skills and ability to learn new skills.
Additional Information
Salary will be uplifted to ensure compliance with the Scottish Living Wage. Interviews are scheduled for the week beginning 16th June 2025, with start dates expected late August 2025.
