Key Responsibilities
* People Management & Reviews
o Conduct regular MiReviews for all officers
o Deliver support, guidance, and performance management to the team
* Compliance & Licensing
o Ensure all officers maintain a valid SIA licence
o Proactively monitor licence expiry dates and facilitate renewals in advance
o Maintain full compliance with company and industry standards
* Training
o Ensure all officers have completed mandatory training
o Monitor training records and arrange refresher courses where required
* Documentation & Audit Readiness
o Maintain and update Assignment Instructions in accordance with current operational requirements and compliance standards
o Ensure all on-site documentation is accurate, current, and audit-ready
o Complete and maintain the SLA/Compliance Pack
* Operational Oversight
o Conduct monthly officer welfare and performance visits
o Support the Operations Manager with day-to-day site management
o Assist with investigations, audits, and client requirements
* Cover & Flexibility
o Provide cover for absence and annual leave where required
o Ensure continuity of service delivery at all times
Qualifications & Experience Required
* Valid SIA Licence (Essential)
* Proven experience in a security supervisory or team leader role
* Comprehensive understanding of security operations within a corporate or critical infrastructure environment
* Experience managing compliance, audits, and site documentation (e.g. Assignment Instructions, SOPs, SLA packs)
* Demonstrable experience in people management, including performance reviews and handling employee relations matters
* Familiar with mandatory training requirements and compliance frameworks
* Experience tracking licences, training expiry dates, and audit standards
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail with an audit-ready mindset
* Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands
* Proficient in basic IT systems (e.g. email, spreadsheets, reporting tools)
Job Overview
* To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
* Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
* To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
Main Duties
* To be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Security.
* Be the first point of contact for the Security team and deal with day-to-day matters such as standards of dress, discipline, and conduct are met and adhered to.
* Assist in on-going training to resident security teams and ensure all new security officers are fully trained and inducted to the site procedures and policies including CCTV, access control systems, deliveries and removals, fire alarms and intruder alarm.
* Develop teamwork within the workforce, ensuring high morale through effective motivational methods.
* Assist in review of Security Officers performance and development.
* To assist in any security / equipment investigations, i.e. thefts, missing items, complaints etc.
* Provide customer / client liaison as and when required.
* Ensure Assignment Instructions are adhered to at all times by security and shipping personnel.
* Ensure that any important messages are conveyed in the Security Handover and that all security personnel read and acknowledge them.
* Ensuring security records and logs are being kept up to date.
* Ensure the security team are compliant with all relevant legislation on data protection.
What we are looking for
* Previous Security Experience
* SIA License
* SC Clearance desirable
* Good literacy and communication skills and have excellent verbal and written English.
