Responsibilities
* Reading, interpreting and writing technical documents with an attention to detail
* Using hand and power tools
* Operating access equipment safely (Under Bridge Inspection Units, Elevated Work Platforms, small boat, cherry pickers, etc.)
* Working in a close-knit team with limited supervision
* Following all safety guidelines and working as part of a team to complete projects on time
Senior Bridge Inspection Worker responsibilities include leading a small team, planning and coordinating work on site, and demonstrating a high safety and quality culture. They may also involve timber bridge inspections and mentoring staff to support team development.
What We Offer
* Hourly rates: Bridge Inspection Worker $39.54 - $43.46 per hour; Senior Bridge Inspection Worker $44.90 - $48.39 per hour, plus superannuation
* Starting hourly rate increases by 3.5% on 1 February 2026 based on experience
* Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off, with overtime; some time off in lieu as required
* Overtime: first two hours paid at time and a half, after that double time
* Expected gross income: Bridge Inspection Worker > $105,000 p.a.; Senior Bridge Inspection Worker > $119,000 p.a. (based on current roster and overtime)
* Travel allowances: meal allowances and incidental up to $92; Overnight Travel Allowance $45 per night; industry allowance $77.40 per fortnight; laundry allowance $7.30 per fortnight
* Mobile phone for work use
* Leave: minimum 4 weeks annual leave, 10 public holidays, 3 additional public service holidays and 13 weeks long service leave after 7 years
* Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%

The gross annual income provided is based on the current 8 days on 6 days off roster worked Monday to Sunday, with anticipated overtime included. Rosters and allowances may vary and will be confirmed prior to commencement.
