Role: Trips Co-Ordinator

Hours: 18 hours per week Term Time Only

Salary: £23,751.00 - 24,429.00 FTE

Location: Altrincham Campus (although requirements across the Group may require cover at other sites)

Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for a capable Trips Co-Ordinator to join our Finance Team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.

About The Role

The Trips Co-Ordinator is key role for the successful running of all student trips, to ensure the trip runs smoothly, on time and on budget.

Key Deliverables

* Work with members of staff assisting with research and enquiries relating to travel and accommodation for educational trips
* Obtaining and recording value for money in relation to educational trips
* Receive and record all monies accurately and allocate to the appropriate account, including online payments via Wisepay
* Banking all monies to appropriate account
* Confirm travel and/or accommodation bookings with suppliers including all necessary paperwork and payments to suppliers
* To co-ordinate travel and/or accommodation requirements for members of staff on courses relating to their CPD
* Arrange currency for the trip organisers and follow up for the appropriate documentation to record expenditure
* Produce a monthly report of all trip income and expenditure
* Work with trip organisers to ensure all transactions are compliant with the college’s financial regulations
* Actively promote the marketing of college trips and visits co-ordination
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of any students with whom you come into contact
* To understand the college’s health & safety policy and to work within its guidelines
* To undertake any other appropriate work as directed by your Manage

Skills And Competencies You’ll Need For This Role

* Experience of working in a finance related role or finance department
* Understanding of the basic accounting principles of income & expenditure monitoring
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Have an organised and methodical approach, being able to prioritise workload
* Strong administration skills, with an excellent attention to detail
* Be able to confidently deal with suppliers and chasing outstanding trip payments
* The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues across multiple departments
* Good IT skills: especially with Microsoft packages (Excel, Word) Knowledge of Wisepay would be an advantage but isn't essential
