About the Role:

Avara Foods is an inclusive, forward-thinking business that has invested heavily in its IT systems. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our growing Technology Team. The role is office based.

Working hours are Monday – Friday 09:00 – 13.00 (20hrs a week)
What will you be doing as a Technology Administrator at Avara?
As a Technology Administrator, you will primarily manage the Asset lifecycle from Procurement through to Disposal across Avara's 15+ UK sites that are used by 2000 users. Assets include Laptops, Mobiles, Support Contracts, Software Licences, etc.
Working closely with the Service Desk, Operations, and Infrastructure teams, you will process around 90 procurement requests per month and look after 100+ annual contract renewals.
Full training will be provided for the various software applications and skills required.
What will your key responsibilities as a Technology Administrator include?
1. Equipment Purchasing
* Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for all technology hardware and software.
* Liaise with Suppliers and Procurement Team, verifying specifications, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing.
* Maintain accurate procurement records and communicate status updates to relevant managers
2. Contract & Licence Management
* Responsible for Managing the Technology Teams Contractual agreements.
* Monitor contract renewal timelines and ensure timely reviews and renewals.
* Oversee the contract and licence database, keeping documentation up-to-date.
* Generate and share licence usage/balance reports with interested parties.
3. Asset Database Administration
* Act as the primary owner and administrator of the Technology Asset Database, responsible for hardware and software asset tagging, tracking, allocation, and recovery e.g. Laptops, Mobile Phones etc.
* Maintain up-to-date asset records throughout the full lifecycle from purchase to disposal.
* Coordinate audits and produce reports in collaboration with site Technology Teams to identify potential equipment loss.
4. User Account & Lifecycle Administration
* Support onboarding and offboarding by collaborating with IT and HR in account setup/disabling.
* Allocate and recover assets for new starters and leavers.
* Arrange IT inductions and maintain accurate records of user-related assets.
5. Licence Management (Microsoft & Others)
* Collaborate with internal technology teams to manage, optimise, and renew software licences.
* Regularly review usage to prevent under/over-provisioning and maintain cost-effective compliance.
* Ensure communication and actions involving licence management are coordinated with all relevant managers.
What you’ll need to be successful:
Essential:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in an administrative role
* Good Microsoft Office skills—especially Excel
* Proficient collaborator with good written and verbal communication skills
* Strong record-keeping proficiency
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics
Desirable:
* Procurement and Contract Management Experience
* Experience with Asset Management
* Experience using Finance Systems such as Oracle, SAP etc.
* Previous experience working with 3rd Parties e.g. Customers or Suppliers
