Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife to join our senior midwifery team at the Royal Free London Trust as a band 7 on the labour ward.
The successful candidate will be placed on the Royal Free site Hampstead Site.
The successful candidate will work as a senior midwife/ labour ward coordinator and act as the bleep holder in the absence of the matron.
The post holder needs to be a clinically sound, experienced midwife with excellent communication skills to lead and support midwives to realise their full potential as autonomous practitioners placing women and their families at the centre of care planning.

Experience
* Previous experience of working in a consultant led unit and environment where 'normality in midwifery' is the main focus (MLC) unit. Minimum introduction to IV cannulations, suturing, scrubbing in theatre, epidural top ups, resuscitation of new born.
* Previous experience working as a midwife/Band 6. Previous experience working in a community setting.
