Our UK Engineering team is expanding, and an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical background has arisen at our NKT Applications, Runcorn cable manufacturing facility.
With your experience in electrical systems, including PLCs, you will join an emerging manufacturing facility in a varied role, working Monday to Friday with occasional overtime. We will provide on-the-job training on specialist equipment, supporting our growth as we increase manufacturing capacity—availability of equipment is essential.
You will be responsible for routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, and fault finding on specialist machinery to ensure operational efficiency across the site.
This role suits an electrical maintenance engineer with at least 5 years of experience in a similar industry, looking to join a global cable manufacturer.
The Role
* Perform routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, and fault finding on site machinery to maintain efficiency.
* Identify and implement improvements on equipment.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE guidelines.
* Support production activities as needed.
The Person
We seek a knowledgeable electrical professional who can be accountable for delivering engineering services to the business. An innovative, team-oriented individual willing to share expertise and experience.
Your qualifications and experience should include:
* Time-served electrical apprentice.
* HNC/HND preferred but not essential.
* IOSH training.
* 5+ years experience in electrical instrumentation and controls.
* PLC fault-finding experience.
* Basic mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic understanding is beneficial but not essential.
