The School and Role:
Well-established primary schools in Huddersfield are seeking to appoint a nurturing and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting pupils within mainstream primary settings, particularly those with ASD and ADHD.
It is a varied position that requires flexibility, adaptability, and a positive, can-do attitude. Responsibilities will include a combination of full classroom support and one-to-one assistance, depending on the needs of the pupil at any given time.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have experience working with children with additional needs, particularly ASD and ADHD
2. Be patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting pupil development
3. Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
4. Be adaptable with a positive “can-do” attitude
5. Be confident supporting both individual learning and wider classroom activities
