What will you be doing?
* Advise on all safety, health, and welfare matters to ensure statutory compliance
* Keep up to date with relevant legislation and communicate changes
* Conduct and review risk assessments, maintaining accurate records
* Recommend control measures and advise on PPE standards
* Carry out health & safety inspections/audits and prepare reports
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑mises, recording findings
* Advise on training/certification needs to meet legal standards
* Support the development and implementation of health & safety plans
* Deliver health & safety training and promote a positive safety culture
* Liaise with external regulatory authorities as required
* Prohibit unsafe work activities where serious risk exists
What are we looking for?
* Essential: Experience in a similar health & safety role
* Advantageous: Experience in waste disposal, recycling, collections, or the quarrying industry
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent)
* Member of IOSH
* Good knowledge of relevant health & safety legislation

* Full UK driving licence
