Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
* Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored properly after use.
* Support chefs during service by keeping the kitchen stocked with necessary supplies.
* Dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Assist in maintaining inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to management.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous.
* Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of cooking techniques are preferred.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
* A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is desirable.
