About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, organised, and customer-focused Hire Desk Coordinator to join our growing team.
This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will be responsible for supporting customers with their equipment hire requirements, processing enquiries and orders, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a high standard of service throughout the hire process.
You will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the hire desk, working closely with customers, suppliers, transport, and internal departments to keep operations running efficiently while delivering an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Handle customer enquiries relating to hire, sales, and service requirements
2. Prepare quotations, specifications, and hire contracts accurately
3. Negotiate hire rates and maximise enquiry conversion opportunities
4. Source equipment from third-party suppliers when required
5. Coordinate deliveries, collections, and transport arrangements
6. Ensure supplier terms and costs are reflected correctly within customer contracts
7. Raise purchase orders and process sundry sales items
8. Update CRM and hire management systems with accurate information and actions
