Are you caring, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting young children in their learning? We are delighted to be recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and nurturing primary school in Garstang on a contract basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference in a primary school setting. Teaching Assistant experience is preferred but not essential, as full support and guidance will be provided.
✨ About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range. You'll help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting children with their learning in the classroom
Working with pupils one-to-one or in small groups
Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
Assisting with lesson activities and classroom preparation
Providing care, reassurance, and encouragement throughout the school day

We are looking for someone who is:
Kind, patient and enthusiastic
Passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing
Comfortable working as part of a team
Reliable and eager to learnExperience as a Teaching Assistant or in a childcare/education setting is desirable but not essential. This role is also ideal for graduates, career changers, or anyone considering a future career in teaching or education support.
