Our client is a plant hire company that are looking to recruit an addition to their workshop technician team based out of their yard in Redhill, Surrey.
The role will be to check in all returned hire equipment (ladders, platforms, goods only or equipment hoists and personnel hoists), clean it up and conduct any routine maintenance and repairs required in preparation for its next hire.
Full training will be provided but a fundamental understanding and ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment is needed. Ideally with materials handling mechanical/electrical knowledge, but not essential.
Requirements for the role will entail.
Erecting and assembling scaffold/hoist equipment
Working with electrical equipment and understanding basics
Service and install hoists
Working hours 7.30 am 5.00 pm (site based)
Very competitive salary commensurate with experience and abilities (minimum starting salary will be £30,000) with senior engineers earning in excess of £45K+
22 days holiday + Bank Holiday.
