Affinity Water have a brilliant job opportunity available to work as a Stores Person in our Folkestone Area.

The Role:

As a Stores Person you will support the Folkestone team in meeting all Customer Operations performance goals by effectively managing stock levels, purchasing, distributing materials, and overseeing the stores and depot areas.

Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring that physical stock, including inventory, van stock, and materials are maintained at the appropriate levels to meet work service level agreements (SLAs).

What you'll be doing:

1. Maintain physical stock levels (yard, van stock, and materials) to ensure the availability of materials for internal users and customers, conducting regular stock checks.
2. Ensure the safe storage of equipment, materials, and fittings in line with water quality and safety regulations, including hazardous materials handling and storage procedures.
3. Process purchase orders efficiently and resolve any queries related to stores or inventory promptly, without conflict or delay.
4. Oversee the proper disposal of waste materials and obsolete stock, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
5. Managing the day-to-day operations of the depot/stores ensuring safety protocols are adhered to and utilizing plant and machinery where necessary.

What you'll need:

6. Strong understanding of stock management principles, including stock rotation, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.
7. Understanding of and adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to material storage and handling.
8. Skilled in using inventory and procurement management software, such as Oracle Fusion and Maximo.
9. Ability to work effectively with internal and external teams, including suppliers, delivery teams, and field staff.
10. Full UK driving licence required, willing to travel to other Company sites and deliver materials to local teams when required.

11. Salary: £28,750 - £30,750 (salary dependant on skills and experience)
12. Hours: 08:00am - 16:30pm (Mon - Thurs) 08:00am - 16:00pm (Friday)
