Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician (Bank) to join Pharmacy Team at HMP Drake Hall, a women’s closed prison in Staffordshire with around 340 female inmates. The Pharmacy is a centralised dispensary within the healthcare department.

* Monday to Sunday service
* 0 hour contract
* 7:15am – 7:15pm
Hourly salary: £21.76

Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding quality patient‑centred care, seeking, listening and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.
* Maintain safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to agreed standard and SOPs followed properly.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within scope of professional standards, from timely medication administration to analysing cost‑effective prescribing as per Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work as a key member of multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up‑to‑date with CPD
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised following policy and procedures
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment preferred
Other Requirements
* Legal right to work in the UK; additional vetting and security checks required.
* Subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and Disclosure and Barring Service check.
* Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
