ROCOL are recruiting a Development Chemist to join a team of multi-disciplined scientists within the Technical team in Leeds. The Development Chemist will be responsible for the formulation of new and existing products for a range of lubricants within the portfolio. The role will also ensure products are formulated to relevant specifications, contribute to the development of new analytical methods, oversee scale-up and implement process improvements.
Responsibilities
* Plan & execute laboratory activities for new and existing products in accordance with project documentation and technical requirements
* Prepare technical reports, documentation, and other project updates as necessary
* Support with analysis and development of new analysis methods
* Support product scale-up of new and existing formulations, conducting root cause investigations to resolve formulation or performance issues
* Ensure transparent communication cross-functionally
* Contribute to a culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement
Qualifications
* Degree in Chemistry (or similar)
* Recent Chemistry graduates who have knowledge or have completed research projects in relevant fields are encouraged to apply
* Proven industrial experience of formulation new & existing products
* Experience in lubricant products & greases and / or metalworking fluids would be advantageous.
* Awareness of GLP quality requirements
* Prior professional experience in a scientific / technical role is desired
* Knowledge of GLP, REACH, NSF, ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO21469 is desirable
