As a CNC Miller for B&B Attachments Ltd you will operate our computer numerically controlled (CNC) Mazak machines using mazatrol programming. You must be confident in setting the machines to relevant tolerances and have experience in milling. You will use the machines to cut, drill, shape and finish products and components used in the build of our products.

Duties include:
* Overall responsibility of the daily running of our Mazak CNC machines
* Utilising your experience in CNC programming to set and operate Mazak CNC machines
* Ability to work to set tolerances
* Knowledge in selecting the correct cutting tools and cutting speeds to ensure success in varied jobs
* Planning the most efficient sequence of operations for the job
* Safely positioning the section ready for each cut
* Checking that work meets quality and technical guidelines
* Routine maintenance of machine tools
* Examine raw material for dimensions, quantity, defects, and required heat lot/certification numbers
* Inspect finished work to verify dimensions meet specifications
Skill & knowledge Requirements:
* Milling knowledge and experience is essential
* Essential experience in the use of CNC programming
* Must have experience using Mazak machines/relevant qualifications
* Must have the ability to understand engineering drawings and instructions
* Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication
* Should be able to visualise finished products
* Must have an understanding of the properties of the materials you work with
* An understanding of the properties of the materials you work with is essential
* Must have knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments
* Live tooling experience would be advantageous
Shift Allowance and Overtime:
* Basic hourly rate is paid at £15.85 per hour
* Shift working is necessary in this role, which attracts a one third premium in addition to basic hourly rate of £15.85. This is the equivalent of £21.13 per hour.
* Total annual salary is £38,471.20 inclusive of shift allowance.
Current shift pattern follows a two weekly pattern of:
* Week 1 - Monday - Friday 7am - 2:30pm
* Week 2 - Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 10pm
Overtime is available and paid based on basic hourly rate - £15.85:
* Monday-Saturday overtime rate - 1.5
* Sunday overtime rate - 2
Shift patterns may be subject to change to fulfil the requirements of the business. This could include nightshift working.
