15-30 hours per week. Additional sleepovers if desired but these are not an essential requirement.
Shift pattern is 8am - 2:30pm or 2pm - 9:30pm with an expectation of fair weekends to enable her to have Monday-Sunday coverage
" I am a lady in my 60s with a fun and spirited personality. However I am quite unwell. Following a life changing incident many years ago, I have a brain injury, no speech and limited mobility. I do however have my own way in which I communicate and my personality continues to shine through. I require support with moving and handling and personal care x 2 people.
I enjoy watching TV and movies and I also like listening to the radio. On days I feel I'm in a good place, I enjoy going out to the shops, having lunch or going for a coffee. i am a big football fan Celtic are my team i used to go to a lot of matches but now I go when I can if I can't get to the match, I watch it on the tv.
I need your support as I have communication needs which impact all aspects of my life. I will require you to support me to maintain my independence and dignity in all aspects of my life.
You should be committed, reliable, motivated, proactive, creative and enthusiastic as well as adaptable. A good sense of humor is a must. You must also have a positive and flexible outlook to your work and be able to work on your own and as part of a team. An understanding of person-centered values is key to supporting Jane to plan and work towards her outcomes. Flexibility is required as the hours of work may vary. Experience is desirable although not essential, only the right attitude and values are essential.
