We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team in supporting children and young people within a residential care setting. You will assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and wellbeing in line with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Registered Manager in managing the daily operations of the home.

Lead and motivate staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
*
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, care planning, and regulatory standards.
*
Oversee and review risk assessments, behaviour management plans, and reports.
*
Act as a role model, promoting a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
*
Deputise for the Registered Manager as required.
*
Support training, supervision, and development of team members.
Requirements
*
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Level 5 desirable.
*
Significant experience working with children and young people in residential care.
*
Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted standards, and care regulations.
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
*
Passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
