You will be working for a registered charity that provides support for people with learning disabilities across Wales and England. It operates on a not-for-profit basis and is primarily funded by Local Authorities and Health Boards. They offer person-centred care to help individuals live full and active lives within theirmunities. It provides services such as supported living, transition & assessment units, and day services.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the strategic direction, management and execution of all technology-related activities within thepany. This leadership role ensures that the IT infrastructure, systems, services and electronic data are aligned with organisational strategies, objectives, policies and plans, and that the organisation is leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, security, and growth. The Head of IT leads a team of IT professionals, drives digital transformation, and is a key partner in shaping the organisation's technological vision.
What you'll need to succeed
1. 10+ years' work experience in IT (first, second and third line) support, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
2. Goodmunication skills and willingness to build relationships with the clients and other members of the team
3. Strong knowledge of all aspects of IT
4. Willingness to occasionally travel on site to system users or to other sites across England
5. Hands-on experience with servers, routers, switches, firewalls and other network devices
