Motor Vehicle Technician – Fleet Operations
Location – Haydock
Work hours: 37.5 hours per week average
Shift allowance: approximately 12.5% uplift on top of basic salary
Basic Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per annum (AFC Band 5)
Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced vehicle technician to join the team at our Haydock workshop facility.
The role of NWAS Vehicle Technician is to ensure all Trust vehicles (Petrol / Diesel / Hybrid and EV) are serviced, repaired and maintained to the Trust and DVSA’s exacting standards. The post incorporates the skilled service and repair of specialist ambulance equipment.
Responsibilities
* Service, repair and maintain Trust vehicles, including specialist ambulance equipment
* Ensure compliance with Trust and DVSA standards
* Assist in workshop operations to maximise vehicle throughput, reduce delays and minimise supply chain frustrations
Qualifications
* Recognised apprenticeship e.g. Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience
* NVQ or C&G level 3 qualifications
* Full UK driving licence and category C1 entitlement
