Sheridan Maine is looking for a proactive and experienced Audit and Accounts Manager to join a leading accountancy practice close to Chelmsford in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking variety, responsibility, and the chance to lead client engagements across a diverse portfolio.
Responsibilities of the Audit and Accounts Manager include:
* Manage a mixed portfolio of audit and accounts clients.
* Plan, lead, and finalise audit assignments.
* Review statutory accounts prepared under UK GAAP.
* Supervise, mentor, and train junior team members.
* Manage client relationships and handle technical queries.
* Ensure work is completed to high standards and deadlines are met.
* Contribute to business development and firm growth.
* Liaise with partners on strategic client and practice matters.
The successful Audit and Accounts Manager:
* ACA or ACCA qualified.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in practice, including audit.
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and audit standards.
* Proven experience managing staff and client relationships.
