With a new Head of HR who joined in January 2024, now more than ever the people functions of Talent Acquisition, Talent Development alongside HR, form a strong and unique bond to drive its people performance for the benefit of our people and organisation. The role of Talent Acquisition & Development Manager is critical to achieve the strategy and ambitions of its people function
About the job
We are looking for someone with both Talent Acquisition and Development skills, who wants to reach for the stars and take these departments to the next level. You will have previous experience of implementing Management Development Programmes with a keen eye on linking investment to results. We are looking for someone with experience in Talent Development and Acquisition. You will have demonstrated in your current and previous roles your ability to lead a small team, delivering result
The ideal person will be a positive, driven, forward-thinking people professional who is willing to dig deep to the roots to develop and nurture a workforce that will grow, thrive, and excel in their individual roles. You will actively engage in the initiatives we have, delivering programs that identify, nurture, and develop top talent within our business and you'll play a crucial role in contributing to ensuring a robust pipeline of skilled professionals. You will have extensive experience of project managing the delivery of a range of complex learning and development solutions with consideration to the most appropriate learning solution and intervention, that meets the commercial need of the business, whilst taking into consideration different learning styles and approaches. You will be able to demonstrate a forward thinking approach, keeping up to date and ahead of the curve on new technology and initiatives to develop our people e.g blended learning, digital learning.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Data focused approached to drive thetalent acquisition and development team to deliver its arms of the people strategy in the movement of the role.
* Adherence to governance by updating procedures, policies, internal SOPs, internal auditing of departments and keep abreast regarding emerging legislation, regulations, and requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Working alongside Workforce management and the Head of HR to develop strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) activities that focus on a future looking talent model.
Talent Acquisition:
* Leverage technology and analytics to identify the best talent for the organisation whilst also ensuring a ‘best in class', customer focused resourcing service, that supports the delivery of business objectives through an aligned resourcing and talent acquisition strategy.
* Demonstrate clear alignments to our Employee Value Proposition and wider talent strategy.
* Passionate and credible advocate for diversity and inclusion ensuring the company is taking action that has a positive impact on their existing and future people, our clients and their communities and further raise their DEI profile and agenda of the call centre in group.
* Ensure the business external marketing to prospective pools of candidates is conducted on a regular basis to effectively promote our vacancies, our business and our people, reducing time to hire and recruitment costs.
* Regular analysis of key metrics to evoke a strategy for improvement ongoing.
* Develop, design and implement robust governance processes around talent acquisition and development to ensure industry best practice is adhered to.
Talent Development:
* Design, develop and integrate our onboarding and transition processes to support our people with knowledge transfer and ensure time to operational is optimised without compromising on quality and service.
* Support colleagues transitioning to new roles across the business and joining our organisation from others with the necessary knowledge required utilising pragmatic development tools to aid key metrics and L&D outcomes.
* Lead and facilitate high-quality learning events both in person and virtual delivery for all levels of employees in our organisation.
* Assist with the strategic design of talent development programming, including large scale learning interventions, curriculum design, activities, courses, and program components.
* Train, develop, coach and mentor existing team to collaborate successfully with internal stakeholders.
* Work collaboratively across-functional teams to identify and design appropriate solutions for desired learning or behavioural outcomes.
* Continually evolves talent programmes as business needs and strategies evolve.
* Maintain online LMS platform and provide governance oversight to group and the organisation.
* Drive the team to create and maintain courseware for instructor led and web-based training courses.
* Develop program materials and resources, such as activity demonstration materials, job aids, visual aids and graphics, videos, communications, and other supporting materials that clearly link to better outcomes.
* Lead project management and planning for talent management and development activities.
* Develop and deploy reports on metrics for key stakeholders.
* Manage sensitive and/or confidential data appropriately.
* Be a visible role model, consistently demonstrating professional principles, personal integrity and promoting CPD.
* Facilitate learning interventions at all levels including onboarding, professional skills, team effectiveness and leadership sessions.
* support the development of a robust and meaningful talent identification programme.
* Ensure prominent and legislative governance is put in place for the department to grow from and be governed by.
* Coach and mentor team of Talent Development Officers to bring about desired outcomes for development.
* Understand neuroscience and diverse needs and how diverse needs impacts on material, outcomes and cater learning to the needs of individuals to generate best outcomes.
About the location
Sheffield city centre at our modern offices.
Hybrid working is available upon discussion with Interviewer.
Ten minutes' walk from Sheffield Station.
Travel to other UK locations as appropriate.
Working pattern
37.5 hours per week
Will be required to be flexible to hold open evenings for new recruits.
Hours between 08.00 – 20.00 – Monday to Friday
Occasional requirement to commit to training night shift and weekends by exception
