Management Accountant - West Reading - £300 per day - 3 month contract - Hybrid (3 from home) Role Purpose The Management / Reporting Accountant is responsible for producing accurate, timely management accounts and financial reports to support business decision-making. The role involves analysing financial performance, budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting standards. Key Responsibilities Management Accounting & Reporting Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports Produce variance analysis against budget and forecast, with clear commentary Deliver regular financial reports to senior management and stakeholders Support the preparation of board packs and performance dashboards Budgeting & Forecasting Assist in the annual budgeting process Prepare rolling forecasts and financial models Work with budget holders to monitor costs and performance Financial Control Ensure accuracy of financial data and adherence to accounting policies Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Support month-end and year-end close processes Assist with audit queries and statutory reporting where required Key Skills & Competencies Strong management accounting and reporting skills Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving ability High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines Qualifications & Experience Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Proven experience in a management or reporting accounting role Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
