Via East Midlands are currently seeking an Improvements Manager to join our Infrastructure Services team based out of our Trent Bridge House Office in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

What you’ll do:
* Manage the team to ensure successful delivery of the teams work programme, to meet client expectation.
* Manage consultation, communication and liaison with clients and a wide range of stakeholders including members of the public, elected Members and professional networks to facilitate project delivery and maintain a positive company reputation.
* Manage delivery of Traffic Regulation Orders, including resolution of objections, preparation and submission of formal public reports, ensuring implementation of statutory duties and maintenance of Via’s reputation.
* Lead the design and delivery of highway improvement projects, which may be complex, to achieve quality, programme and financial targets meeting customer and stakeholder requirements.
* Monitor staff performance, coach and act as a mentor developing technical expertise of team members to assist with achieving individual performance targets and future potential.
What we’re seeking:
* A degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related subject and post qualification relevant experience, or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience in a highway and/or transport environment.
* Ability to lead a team in a busy design environment, to make decisions and solve problems to meet team objectives and operational.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to gain agreement and acceptance of others including colleagues, senior managers and clients.
* Strong ICT skills including Microsoft Office applications including working knowledge of current computer aided design software and knowledge of data management environments.
* Thorough working knowledge of current legislation relating to the design and implementation of permanent Traffic Regulation Orders.
* Thorough working knowledge of current design guidelines and standards particularly relating to traffic signing and carriageway lining and other highway features including pedestrian crossings and traffic calming.
