Registered Manager – Children’s Home (EBD)

Overview
We are working with a well-established and reputable provider of children’s residential services who are seeking a Registered Manager to lead their 2-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) home in Wolverhampton. The organisation operates multiple high-quality homes across the Midlands and is known for its supportive culture, strong compliance record, and child-centred approach.

The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the operational leadership and day-to-day running of the home. You’ll ensure the delivery of safe, consistent, and nurturing care in line with Ofsted standards, while leading and developing a motivated team who share your commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
You’ll work closely with senior management to drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance, and create a positive, stable environment where young people can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all aspects of the children’s home in line with Ofsted regulations and company policies
*
Lead, support, and develop a team to deliver high-quality, therapeutic care
*
Promote a culture of safeguarding, positive behaviour support, and reflective practice
*
Ensure the home meets or exceeds Ofsted requirements, maintaining Good or Outstanding standards
*
Build strong relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals
*
Monitor budgets, staffing, and occupancy to ensure efficient service delivery
Key Requirements
*
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
*
Previous experience as a Registered Manager in an EBD setting
*
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s home legislation
*
Proven leadership and team management skills
*
Excellent communication, organisational, and safeguarding expertise
