What you'll do
As a School Crossing Patrol, you'll take on a vital role in your community – helping children and families cross the road safely during busy school run times. You'll be a calm and reassuring presence at designated crossing points, ensuring pedestrians are protected and traffic is managed with care and confidence. Your role is essential in making sure children and other pedestrians can travel to and from school safely.
Responsibilities

* Monitor traffic and assist pedestrians, ensuring safe crossing for children and other pedestrians.
* Adhere to local policies and guidelines for school crossing operations and road safety.
Details
This position involves working 10 hours per week during school term time, typically one hour in the morning and one in the afternoon. You'll be provided with a uniform to keep you protected in all weather conditions, and you'll be part of a valued team making a real difference every day.

Qualifications and skills
* Responsible, reliable, and committed to making Hampshire's roads safer for children and other pedestrians.
* Good traffic awareness and the ability to stay alert in all conditions.
* Demonstrates a calm and approachable manner; able to work independently and confidently use basic IT systems.
