Team Leader – Specialist SEN School & Residential Setting
Location: Ribchester, Lancashire
Salary: From £14.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible shifts including early mornings and late nights)
Are you an experienced support worker looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a committed and motivated Team Leader to join our specialist SEN school and residential care setting located in the beautiful Ribchester area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting young people aged 8–18 with Autism Spectrum Conditions and other complex needs. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and positive environment that enables our young people to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of support staff to deliver high-quality care and education.
* Support children and young people in all aspects of their daily life, including personal care, education, activities, and emotional wellbeing.
* Ensure care plans and behaviour support strategies are followed consistently.
* Support the management team with rota planning, incident reporting, and staff development.
* Promote safeguarding and best practices at all times.
Requirements:
* Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
* Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
* Must have previous experience in a support work role.
* Must hold relevant qualifications in health and social care or a related field.
* Prior experience as a Team Leader or in a supervisory capacity within a support setting is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
