Role Overview
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and successfully completing projects in the Capital and Opex arenas for both O/H and Underground assets. Work delivered must conform to policies and procedures and influence customer satisfaction scores. This role offers diverse and challenging work, providing an excellent opportunity to develop broad knowledge and skills across our core business. The position is based in York, Scarborough, or Northallerton.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as a contributory member of the North Yorkshire team, assisting with LV/11KV Capital/Opex Schemes within the region.
2. Plan and deliver overhead and underground works effectively regarding time, cost, and quality.
3. Provide excellent customer service, aiming for a 10/10 customer experience.
4. Understand customer requirements and represent NPG positively.
5. Plan and schedule labor, materials, and contractors to meet customer expectations on site.
6. Liaise with contractors to ensure work is delivered considering customer and property considerations.
7. Maintain high safety standards throughout work delivery.
8. Build good relationships with stakeholders and ensure customer satisfaction, addressing issues promptly.
9. Contribute to financial governance and ensure proper handovers.
10. Manage workload to stay compliant with policies and standards, demonstrating flexibility to assist others.
11. Be adaptable and willing to work across other workstreams if needed.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Practical experience in LV/11KV overhead and underground network project delivery.
Desirable
Qualifications such as ONC Electrical Engineering, ILM Level 3, NEBOSH; willingness to undertake relevant training.
Proven customer service skills, decision-making, planning, and organizational abilities.
Strong relationship management and communication skills, basic power distribution network knowledge.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and NPG Drawing Systems like I-Smart/Geofield (GIS).
Full UK driving license.
Understanding of LV/11KV project delivery processes and safety guidelines (HSG6, HSG47).
Knowledge of financial management in project delivery and health, safety, and environmental management (IOSH).
Background as a Linesman, Fitter, or Jointer.
Additional Information
This role may involve visiting customer premises and requires a basic DBS check. Applicants must be willing to undergo this check.
