Wernick Modular Hire is seeking a dedicated Pre-Construction Project Manager to to lead and manage pre-construction activities from order won stage to construction phase, with the key objective of managing projects that successfully achieve the project deliverables, whilst managing risk and maximising profitability.
About The Role
Scope
The Pre-Construction Project Manager will take responsibility and ownership of multiple projects from order won stage to construction phase, leading and working collaboratively with the Technical Service Manager and all other departments to set out and achieve completion of all the project deliverables on time and to a high standard whilst managing both commercial and operational risks and maximising profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the design, commercial and delivery teams from order won stage to commencement of the construction phase.
* Lead on setting out the individual project deliverables.
* Manage the process of completing the project deliverables to a high standard in line with project timelines.
* Facilitate, lead and manage internal stakeholders to influence the conversion of opportunities into orders.
* Influence design development in line with client requirements/expectations whilst maintaining the required commercial outcome.
* Confirm the technical specification requirements for individual projects.
* Be the point of contact for client’s and their design teams.
* Lead and escalate the negotiation of contractual matters where applicable
* Manage the supply chain project stakeholders to ensure compliance with project design and specification requirements.
* Appoint, brief, and manage external consultants to ensure outputs are aligned with design, specification and time-line requirements.
* Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
* Lead and manage handover meetings with the delivery teams prior to construction to ensure the project design and commercial strategy is implemented and the delivery team have complete and accurate information.
* Carry out any other Project Management duties and activities as required.
Essential Criteria:
* HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a Construction related discipline.
* Proficient in MS Office software.
* Good communication skills.
* Excellent leadership skills in managing teams from various disciplines.
