Job Title: Psychologist, Adult Assessments - Huddersfield
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire (Hybrid 1-2 days per week)

Salary: £55,000 - £110,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client is an award-winning, NHS and HSE approved practice dedicated to providing high-quality psychological care across the UK and Ireland. They offer services including neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments for adults and children, as well as expert witness assessments for courts and parole boards, in criminal/prison law, family law, immigration law, and medico-legal cases. They have a proven track record of delivering high-quality assessments and fulfilling HSE / NHS contracts.
The Role:
This is an exciting and valuable role within a busy service, providing assessments to adults. It is a hybrid role for qualified clinicians working within the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team for adults referred for autism and/or ADHD assessments via HSE / NHS, Patient choice, and GP referrals. Some aspects of the role may be undertaken remotely, but attendance at the office 1-2 times per week is required.
The role involves conducting comprehensive specialist assessments, including diagnostic evaluations of individuals with suspected autism and/or ADHD using established diagnostic tools. Mental health assessments may also be part of the role. Assessments are conducted on behalf of the HSE / NHS via GP referral. The clinician is responsible for writing assessment reports promptly and professionally, providing appropriate recommendations and interventions. Depending on experience, supervision and support of junior staff may also be involved.
Qualifications:
* HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist
* Must be eligible to work in the UK
* Experience in diagnostic neurodevelopmental/specialist developmental assessments with adults
* Experience working with adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health issues in a clinical setting
* Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and assessment tools for autism and ADHD (preferred but not essential)
* Knowledge of differential diagnosis
* Ideally ADOS-2 / ADI-R trained
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
* Experience in report writing and record keeping
* Additional qualifications in autism and/or ADHD are advantageous
