We have two fantastic full-time permanent roles available in Lancashire County Council's Fostering Service that might be perfect for you: 1. Senior Practitioner (Grade 9) - Permanent Position – Full Time (Mainstream Assessment Team) As a Senior Practitioner in mainstream assessment, you will conduct assessment visits; complete full fostering assessments; and facilitate face to face fostering training to families and children, information evenings, and community marketing events. Our mainstream assessment team is dedicated to recruiting and assessing mainstream families who wish to foster children in our care. We also oversee the assessment and supervision of private fostering families in Lancashire. While our base is County Hall, Preston, most of our work is done remotely. Successful candidates must be able to travel throughout Lancashire, so a driving licence and access to a car are essential. 2. Senior Practitioner (Grade 9) - Permanent Position – Full Time (Kinship Support Team) As a Senior Practitioner in kinship support Team, you will conduct statutory visits; complete annual foster carer reviews; support and supervise kinship foster carers in their role and facilitate fostering support groups both face to face and online. The Kinship Support Team is committed to providing tailored and compassionate support to kinship carers across East Lancashire and beyond. While the team is based in Burnley, the nature of the role is predominantly remote, with travel required throughout Lancashire and occasionally to out-of-area locations.
