Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a Secondary school based in Horwich, Bolton who are currently seeking at appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work alongside a number of identified pupils who have displayed challenging behaviour this academic year. The school wish to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis, with the aim of successfully appointing at their earliest convenience. The incoming member of staff will earn employment for the remainder of the academic year with a view to earning a permanent contract ahead of the next academic year in September. The school caters for students who are aged between 11-16 and they are currently looking to offer specialised support to identified pupils who have been regularly emitted to the schools inclusion centre. Most of the pupils who the Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be supporting have individual EHCP's and have ADHD. This role will require the incoming member of staff to support and engage pupils throughout school, many of whom have significant barriers to learning. Previous experience of working in an education setting with pupils in a supporting role is essential, as well as having the skills to diffuse stressful situations and build good relationships with the students.
