We are actively seeking an Interim Principal Public Rights of Way Officer to join our client’s team in Hereford on a full-time, temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an inspirational leader with a strong background in Public Rights of Way to act as the professional lead across the authority, managing a dedicated team and ensuring services are delivered to the highest standard.
Duties Include:
* Acting as the professional lead for all Public Rights of Way related matters across the authority.
* Managing the Public Rights of Way team, providing clear leadership and direction.
* Developing and implementing strategies, processes, and policies to deliver high-quality services.
* Collaborating with Cabinet, elected members, senior managers, and other stakeholders to enhance the Public Rights of Way network.
* Ensuring Public Rights of Way are accessible, safe, and well maintained.
* Attending in-person meetings on Tuesdays, with additional site visits as required.
Requirements:
* Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.
* Strong knowledge and professional background in Public Rights of Way.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to deliver customer-focused services with a proactive, can-do attitude.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement policies effectively.
Working Hours:
* Contract Type: Temporary (6 months).
* Hours: 37 per week.
* Hybrid Working: Typically one day in person on Tuesdays, with additional days as needed for site visits.
Salary and Benefits:
* Pay: £26.06 per hour.
