Location: Tonbridge, GB (On site at Paddock Wood training Centre – some travel may be required). Contract: Permanent. Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm. Salary: £51,600.00 - £53,355 depending on skills and experience + Outer London Allowance.
Network Rail is looking for a Lead Trainer in Signalling & Telecommunications (S&T) to join the team at Paddock Wood Training Centre. You will help shape the future of the railway by supporting the development of new entrants, apprentices, and experienced colleagues expanding into new areas of expertise. What does a Lead Trainer role entail?
* Develop the proficiency of employees by inspirational delivery of technical, safety and vocational training interventions.
* Provide exemplary learner-focused customer service, enhancing motivation to learn.
* Foster a safety-first culture and promote Network Rail Values at every touch point.
* Convey Network Rail corporate messages and behavioural expectations to employees.
* Act safely and promote safety awareness; demonstrate compliance with safety procedures.
* Continuously develop personal technical proficiency, knowledge, and adult education capability.
* Demonstrate credibility with delegates and continuously improve training materials, assessments, and equipment.
* Contribute to Content Review Groups, Skills Forums, and maintain training documentation and visual aids.
* Fairly assess delegates and provide opportunities to learn; support assessment and evaluation of training impact.
* Support the Training Delivery Manager with programme design, evaluation, team dynamics and centre performance.
* Be flexible in achieving objectives of Competence & Training and Network Rail.
* Support continuous improvement of the Training Centre’s internal quality procedures and work instructions; demonstrate commitment to improvement.
* As a Network Rail Manager, promote and enforce company processes, initiatives, policies, and managerial behaviours.

Requirements / Qualifications
* Thorough knowledge of the technical or operational capability relevant to the role.
* Excellent presentational skills.
* Ability to affect culture change, motivate and inspire others.
* Ability to demonstrate management capabilities in developing, planning, thinking, and achieving.
* Willingness to cover activities in other training locations as required.
What could set you apart?
* Experience of railway maintenance or operations.
* Signalling & Telecoms maintenance experience.
* Fault finding experience.
* Understanding of different learning styles and knowledge of rules, regulations and working instructions.
* Team player with a background or qualification in adult learning.
