We are seeking to appoint an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join us and work across Penbridge Schools.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate and dedicated about transforming the life chances of our pupils. You will support teaching and learning at our school while gaining hands-on experience and working towards a recognised qualification.
The successful candidate will undertake a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship and will be supported with excellent training to become a skilled and valued team member.
You will hold GCSE or Functional Skills equivalent (Grade 4/C or Level 2) in Maths and English.
What you will need to succeed:
* Provide teaching and learning support to our students with the guidance of the Classroom Teacher
* Ability to motivate and support learning
* Committed to supporting pupils to reach their full potential
* Participate in the Walking Bus between school sites on a rota basis
* Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
* Good ICT skills
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills
* Understanding of the educational system and current developments
About Us
Formally known as Penhale Infant School and Newbridge Junior School, we officially joined together in September 2022 to form Penbridge Infants and Junior School. The infants site includes a nursery with 24 places for funded 2-4 year olds and a 2-form entry Infant school with 180 children, including 24 in our Rainbow Fish Inclusion Unit. The Juniors site comprises a 4-form entry school with 440 children.
