Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. Who can the progress with our business to drive a 7.5T vehicle. Training and license will be funded for this for the right candidate.
You must be a confident and competent driver that is happy to drive a van with large trailer. Training will be given but experience is crucial.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. This role involves driving a 3.5t flatbed tipper vehicle with a Hiab mounted 3.5T crane trailer.
You will be delivering winter fuel products, along with AdBlue and screenwash etc. The crane mounted trailer is used to safely deliver ton bags of Firewood.
transporting goods to various locations while adhering to all road safety regulations.
Most of the work is driving around Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire and the odd runs to London.
Ideally we are looking for a full time person that can work Monday to Friday, however we would also look into part time work minimum 2/3 days per week.
Responsibilities
* Operate a vehicle with trailer. For the safe delivery of goods to designated locations.
* Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
* Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
* Use Vehicle Tachograph and stick to legal driving hours and rules.
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
* Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management.
Qualifications
* Valid UK driving licence with a category B + E (Car & trailer)
* Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles.
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
* Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
* Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. If you are an enthusiastic driver looking for a new opportunity in a dynamic environment.
