Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Application Specialist to join a growing group within the Clinical Informatics Research Unit, focused on the prestigious Wessex SDE (Secure Data Environment) service. The post will not only provide technical input and resource to the team but also manage the service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a background in data science in healthcare, with a particular focus on service delivery to meet key KPI’s.
This is a fixed term post, with the potential to make permanent once the service is established.
Reporting Relationships
The Application Specialist will report to the Data Science Lead driving forward the agenda within the unit.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
* Develop reports, visualisation tools
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, statisticians, and software engineers, to fulfil the duties of a Service Delivery Manager with respect to ensuring issues that are logged are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards governing the conduct of clinical research.
* As a Team Member: Participate in special projects to improve processes, tools, systems and organisation.
* Take responsibility for personal learning and development and for setting achievable and meaningful work objectives and managing personal targets.
* Demonstrate commitment to the University\'s organisational values, including performing to an exceptionally high ethical standard and focus on integrity, collaboration and teamwork in all efforts.
