Practice Accountant /Client Manager
Full-time Permanent Based in North Wales
Join a forward thinking and fast-growing accountancy practice offering a full range of accounting and advisory services. We're looking for a Welsh speaking, proactive and reliable individual with solid practice experience to support our expanding client base.
This role would suit someone qualified (or part-qualified) with several years of experience preparing accounts and handling tax compliance within a UK accountancy practice.
Responsibilities
* Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
* Experience of farm accounts beneficial
* Maintain and reconcile client accounts, including control accounts
* Calculate accruals, depreciation, and other adjustments
* Submit VAT returns and assist with personal tax returns
* Carry out general bookkeeping and double-entry accounting
* Proofread accounts, tax returns and supporting documentation
* Assist with wider practice support and ad hoc accounting tasks
* AAT qualified, part-qualified ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and personal tax
* Recent practice experience (ideally 3+ years)
* Confident user of online accounting software - especially Xero
* Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
* Clear communication skills and a professional manner
* A team player who's confident dealing with clients
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (client visits may be required)
* Competent Welsh speaker
