Job Description
We are recruiting for a Level 2 Infrastructure Engineer to join our team based at our Data Centre in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. You will be responsible for the proactive management and support of servers, storage, and related technologies that underpin our platforms and customer services. The ideal candidate should be flexible to meet customer needs, possess strong customer service skills, and demonstrate problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with clear stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide proactive support and monitoring of Telefónica Tech MS hosted environments
* Triaging and resolving issues raised by customers and internal users
* Provide second-line support for an RDS environment
* Deploy and monitor virtual machines on VMware Hypervisor platforms
Skills & Experience:
* Experience working within ITIL processes and guidelines
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage priorities effectively
* Experience in a dedicated IT department
* Understanding of Virtualization and backup technologies
* Knowledge of Active Directory & Group Policy Management
* Experience with Service Desk software
* Experience working with Blue Light Services
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Valid driver's license and access to transportation for site visits
Required Technical Skills:
* ITIL v3 Foundation or higher
* VMware deployment of Virtual Machines
* Experience with automated patch management tools
* Methodical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
* Active Directory Management
Desired Technical Skills:
* Windows Group Policy creation and management
* Support for Windows Terminal Server environments
* Experience with Storage and SAN Fibre management
Additional Information
Work hours are Monday to Friday (37.5 hours/week) on a rolling shift pattern: 07:00-15:00, 08:00-16:30, and 14:30-23:00. Weekend work (2.5 hours) is required approximately once every three weeks on either Saturday or Sunday.
Due to our location, access to own transport is essential. Candidates must meet BPSS, Security Clearance, and NPPV3 clearance requirements, which are conditions of employment.
