GSL Education are working closely with supportive schools and specialist provisions in the Derby (DE6) area who are seeking a committed and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teacher to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs. This role is perfect for an SEN Teacher who values patience, creativity, and personalised learning.
Your Impact in the Classroom as a SEN Teacher:
* Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet individual EHCP targets
* Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD
* Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
* Use differentiated strategies to engage and motivate learners
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Track progress and adapt teaching approaches to maximise outcomes
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs
* Strong behaviour management and emotional literacy skills
* A calm, adaptable, and resilient teaching style
* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
