Job Introduction
We are seeking a passionate and experienced part‑time Specialty Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Health at our Oldham, Bury and Rochdale Sexual Health Service, based on a 12 month fixed‑term basis.
You must hold the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and the Diploma in Genitourinary Medicine (DipGUM), or an equivalent qualification, and meet the person specification for the Specialty Grade.
Main Responsibilities
* Participate in Clinical Governance, Clinical Audit, CME and meet the annual CPD requirements of the appropriate Royal College / Faculty
* Follow the policies and practices laid down within HCRG Care Group
* Undertake annual appraisal and ensure compliance with revalidation and GMC good medical practice standards
* Comply with risk management, Health and Safety policies, and information governance procedures
* Maintain accurate record‑keeping and ensure records are retained in accordance with the records management policy
Ideal Candidate
* Basic medical qualification registrable in UK and current GMC registration
* Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH)
* Diploma in Genitourinary Medicine (DipGUM)
* Letter of competence in IUC or equivalent
* Letter of competence in sub‑dermal implants or equivalent
* Minimum of 4 years medical work since obtaining a primary medical qualification, of which a minimum of 2 years should have been in integrated sexual health specialty or a relevant other specialty including GUM/SRH provision in primary care
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Excellent patient communication
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload and to delegate responsibilities and supervise staff
* Ability to undertake robust audit within team structure
* Ability to motivate and inspire a multi‑disciplinary team and work sensitively within teams
* Willingness to work flexibly to support the needs of the service
* Ability to travel
