You know you've made a difference in Residential Childcare. Maybe now it's time to help others do the same.
If you're feeling the weight of long shifts, sleep-ins and weekend work, but still care deeply about the sector, there is another way to stay involved.
You've done the work, and you understand how demanding, and rewarding, this sector can be. Now you could help others build the skills and mindset they'll need.
You don't need to be a qualified assessor to apply. If this feels like the right next step, we'll provide you with all the training and support you need.
What it involves
Marking learner work and providing constructive, supportive feedback
Teaching and assessing across the Residential Childcare curriculum
Sharing your own experience to prepare learners for real-world practice
Supporting learners to build confidence, knowledge and resilience
What we're looking for
At least 2 years of experience in Residential Childcare
A relevant sector qualification at Level 3, 4 or 5
Strong communication skills and the ability to guide and encourage others
A calm, steady approach and understanding of what new workers need
A genuine interest in improving outcomes for children and young people
What you'll get
No evening shifts, weekends or sleep-ins
Flexible working, including working from home
Full or part-time roles available
Training and support to become a qualified assessor (if needed)
A chance to stay connected to the sector in a new way
If this sounds like the kind of change you've been thinking about, we'd love to hear from you.
